FAMILY HOUSE FOR STREET GIRLS PROJECT

In Calcutta there are thousands of children who live alone in the streets; they are easily subject to abuse, exploitation, organs and slaves traffickers. Girls are more helpless than boys as they are culturally considered inferior. They are often abandoned; furthermore, poor families usually give less food, health, education and love to little girls: they suffer any kind of abuse.

Insieme per mano is an association founded by women who want to build a family house that will be a little seed in a situation of misery and poverty: we will try to ensure a respectable life to these girls and let them experience behaviors based on respect, equality and solidarity. Our family house will initially host 10-15 girls; competent and loving adults will accompany them responding to their fundamental needs (health, instruction, job).
